Gamescom 2013 is shaping up to be something special with big announcements from major players in the MMO-space. Ubisoft has announced that Panzer General Online will be arriving soon to bring back an era of grand strategy. PGO will be a browser-based title that gives players of all forces at an army's command: Ground, Sea, Air.
Focusing on intense strategic battles, players are able to play in both single-player and multiplayer modes. The single-player campaign functions as an advanced tutorial and lets the player take part in battles including the Battle of Omaha Beach and the Battle of Monte Cassino. The multiplayer mode challenges players to become the most effective general through strategic control of their units. Panzer General Online also incorporates elements of trading card-based games: players can collect and trade virtual miniatures of tanks, infantry and artillery to create their own personalized army.
