Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Team Announces Patch Improvement Plans and New Testing Cohort Starting Soon

Visionary Realms responds to Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen community feedback on “half-baked” patches and announces plans for improvement. Additionally,  the first new Advanced Testers cohort will be chosen soon.

The team’s statement acknowledges some inconsistency in the Early Access patching process, saying that sometimes “internal comms fail to alert everyone that something is not finished”. This is sloppy and so they are vowing to do better by making sure  that each team documents their changes  in a way that the whole team is aware of exactly what the exact content of a patch is at a given time. 

Additionally, the first cohort of the new groups of testing volunteers that the team put out  a recruitment call for will be invited soon and their work will start.

After acknowledging past “informal” communication, back in February, Visionary Realms announced that they would be letting all of their voluntary testers go and recruiting an entirely new group. The new group would operate under strict rules, such as only using their legal names on a private chat without sharing any identifying info. No guilds or groups could apply as a unit. This followed some criticism and they said they wanted to make sure that there was no perceived risk of favoritism in the new testing group. 

Along with today's patch, which was centered around fixes,  their statement mentioned that the first group of invited testers will be very small. While player account info played a role, criteria was not fully revealed, but they did say that, “To keep it unbiased, team input was limited to disqualifying factors”. Applicants will remain in the pool for future consideration when they need additional testers.
