With Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen dropping its controversial 247 test mode, the Visionary Realms team is in the process of getting things back on track. In the just-released November Producer’s Letter, they cover development updates, recapping the month’s changes, and announcing an upcoming NDA-free event that will enable more peeks into the game next month.

The new event is Content Creator Showcase week, starting on December 24th. The team previously announced that there will be a verbal NDA lift beginning December 1st, allowing discussion of the pre-alpha experiences without sharing any images or video. For the special content creators week, footage and screenshots captured during the event will not be subject to an NDA for the limited event period. The event will end on January 1, 2024 at 11:59 PM PT.

This is an exclusive temporary drop for content creators, and any other sharing of visual elements will require permission from Visionary Realms. If you are not a creator or streamer, but are a tester after December 1st, feel free to talk about your experiences (and maybe draw some stick figures until the full NDA drops).

After the decision to return to full MMORPG development, the team is also sharing details on new work they’ve gotten done to push Pantheon forward. Among the improvements include updating the Haunted Manor in Thronefast, various new concept art, addition of wall torches and new harvestable trees, and about 500 new NPC variations. The latter include a variety of things like skin and hair color, armor varieties, and facial hair to broaden the types of NPCs you’ll encounter.

Other work they've done have been to the backend to improve the animation controller, the persist architecture, and they have also completed a first pass of the new spell system audio along with sound effects and music tracks.

On December 7th, there will be a pre-alpha recap article to bring everyone up to speed on the current testing situation, followed by the next developer Q&A session on December 14th.

Read the full letter for details on the updated work over at Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen.
