Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has started to share updates about its development in the midst of its first “Season” of playtesting. In late February, Pantheon opened nonstop access for its high-tier VIP patrons, allowing player feedback and updates to trickle in from its most keen supporters, as explained in the latest Producer’s Letter.
Much of the bulk of what’s shared has to do with audio and visual fixes, including to its art style that’s undergone some number of changes. Its priority seems to be on lighting and its armor set styles, which are being promised pretty soon. Already, devs have patched in an audio update to help with immersion a bit. VFX for wizards, Shamans and Monks, plus player attack animations, are in the works as well.
The Pulse engine, which is behind the NPC interaction system throughout the MMORPG, is being put into effect for players. There’s also some work being done on the pet system as part of the summoner class.
And for Season 2, they’re already looking to implement a new area called Mad Run, which they promise updates for in the coming weeks before the new season kicks off.
While VIPs can access the current build right now, Champions-tier pledges will be let in for a two-week period starting March 16th, and Supporter tiers will have a week from March 29th. The cycle will likely repeat for Season 2 next month as well.
