Palworld has captivated over 19 million players thus far, and it only appears to be growing day by day. The traction has been so great for the creature collector that it is now the biggest third-party launch on Gamepass in history.
Xbox alone has over 7 million players in Palworld, and these insane numbers have won the developers at Pocket Pair several rewards, so to speak. The game was a massive success since day one, as not only did it hit 500,000 players its first night on Steam alone, it became one of the most successful games to ever hit the Steam platform as well with its concurrent player count. Pocket Pair made a statement of the success from the Xbox platform, stating,
“The response from fans has been tremendous, and it’s incredible to see the millions of players around the world enjoying Palworld. This is just the beginning for us and Palworld, and the feedback we’re gathering while in Game Preview will allow us to continue to improve the experience for Pal Tamers across all platforms.”
As we note in our Early Access review, Palworld brings creature collecting and survival mechanics together to create a cohesive and thrilling experience. However, there have been a few trials and tribulations that the game has faced since launch, including rumors about AI being used for character models and stealing content from the age-old game Pokemon.
There have been several other allegations about the authenticity of the developers and the game being in early access hell like the team's previous game, but since it is so early on in this new games’ career, no one will know for quite some time.
