Pocketpair confirmed that Palworld will be getting cross play, with world transfer for Pals, and multiplayer across platforms.
The update is now dated for “late March”, so there isn’t much time to wait for the update that will let you play with friends regardless of which platform you're on.
“This update will implement multiplayer between different platforms and the ability to move Pals between worlds.”
While full details are yet to be released, Pockepair’s announcement confirms that cross play will happen between all currently released platforms. This means Steam, Xbox, PlayStation 5, and the mostly recently added, Mac.
The release notes, along with what's included aside from the stated features will be published on the day of the update, so we'll have to wait for more info. As we get closer to the update, it's likely we'll get more info on how you can play with your Pals on new platforms and play with your human pals in Palworld with this support too.
After being delayed out of last year, the game made it to Mac earlier this month. A Palworld mobile version is in the works via a deal between Pocketpai and Krafton, but it remains to be seen if this will see a global release or not. Still, if and when that does come out, iit wouldn’t be a surprise to see cross play included.
