In a new Dev Blog, Singularity 6 provided a look ahead for new Palia content and changes, including a new zone called Elderwood, plus more new changes to come.
There’ll be a new zone called Elderwood coming, though it’s sadly not estimated to be ready until “early 2025.” With new quests and “gameplay elements,” the developers call it a “an expansive, gorgeous, and potentially somewhat devious new zone set in the world of Palia that will challenge player’s conceptions of Flow, the Majiri, and the role humans play in the whimsical world of Palia.” Other than that, they don’t say too much more.
In the meantime, there will be some number of updates coming to the game. They speak quite a bit to housing, noting that while players want unlimited items within, the game’s technical limitations are an unfortunate impediment. However, soon, Building Blocks will be part of the 3,000 object/decor limit, and Flowers will be brought up to 1,000. A “featuring” system will also be introduced so players can find their friends easier.
Coming up soon, too, are a much-anticipated trading system, an in-game search system so players can find objects in their workbench and storage, a cool wolf outfit, and… potato plushies? Sure! They seem cute.
Plus, between now and Elderwood’s early 2025 launch, the team promises a number of updates of varying sizes that bring new quests, gameplay features, in-game events, quality-of-life changes and more.
