Today, Palia launches on Steam, adding its latest PC platform for the cozy MMO. Along with the Steam launch, there’s a big update on all platforms, continuing Palia’s story, adding a brand new temple, flowers and trees as outside decor items, new cosmetics, and more.

The Temple of the Roots is here to explore, anchoring the brand new Spring-themed content update. Not only can you explore the new earth-inspired temple, you can complete new quests, and earn yourself some new rewards. There’s  a new vault in the temple and if you complete the bundle, there’s a special reward. The Emberborn Reed Planter recipe is a reward for the temple, and the furniture set is also now available to collect.

There’s another new furniture set in this update, the Spring Fever set, with a number of new items from Badruu’s shop. Among them are garden edges, new Spring Fever rock and wood edging for your perfect garden design.

Thanks to those who wishlisted Palia on Steam, there’s a giant Frogbert plushie up for grabs for all players to claim in-game. Having grown five times its size thanks to the community, you have 30 days to make it yours on any supported platform.

With a little bit of nature in mind, there’s also the introduction of flowers and trees as decor items–outside. Trees get an overhaul here too. Flowers will grow in two stages and trees will now grow in four stages, with careful watering and some patience. You can stop trees from growing–or cut them down–at any stage. You can plant the flowers wherever you want, and every time you catch an insect in Kilima, you'll have a chance for it to drop a flower seed. There are 13 seed types to collect and grow. If you’re missing any, find them in Auni’s Guild Store too.

In addition to the new content, there are some adjustments that include improvements to climbing, more controller support options, and an adjusted new player experience that moves some NPCs around for easier early questing.

Palia has also added some wedding-themed cosmetics in the shop, a wedding glider, and some hot dog themed costumes in case the wedding thing wasn’t for you.
