Palia gets some new features, expanded Building Blocks, new party buffs to share bonuses with friends, and more to discover.
One of the main features in this update is called Party Buffs. This is a social feature and a progression feature rolled into one. Play Palia with a party member and stay within 35m of each other to also get loot when your buddy does activities and vice versa. There's also a chance at a double loot drop and you will also make progress towards exclusive rewards by earning Party People Accomplishments.
So, essentially, if your buddy is nearby and catching some insects, you will also get loot. This doesn't apply to things like cooking or gardening or crafting furniture, but it will happen with resource gathering like foraging, fishing, and hunting as well.
In order to support this new system, the party UI got a makeover, the map makes it clearer to keep track of party members, and other changes make forming parties easier.
Earning XP towards Party People Accomplishments will let you level all five levels over time. Each level you reach will also reward you an item of Growable Furniture. This is a new type of furniture that you can only obtain through partying up together and filling that XP. There are five pieces to start and each item starts as a Seedling that you can plant somewhere on your plot and wait until it grows over time into a new furniture piece. when it grows and it's ready, you'll also get a seed from it to grow even more items.
The update also adds a number of new Building Block options, including copper, iron, and gold. It also brings back Zeki’s Prize Wheel with a bunch of new items to win. Play Hotpot in the Black Market, earn Prize Wheel Coins and give it a spin. The prize pool includes gold and ingredients, plus new items like jumbo plushies (Majo, Chapaa, Ancient Fish), all-new fireworks, and furniture. The all-new Pirate Decor set is new and only from the prize wheel.
Palia is also beginning a login campaign starting tomorrow through July 9th, where you can get your very own Big Frogbert plush.
