Palia is preparing to release some helpful features and improvements, along with teasing a new NPC, a new creature, and a whole new system on the way: Starstones.
Starstones are gemstones that are associated with constellations and each represents a Luna Moon sign. Yes, this is Palian astrology. A Star Path, which is your sign, takes into account the season you are born and the moon phase you are born under. Essentially, Singularity 6 is creating an astrology system, and the soon-to be presented deeply Majiri constellations.
They previewed the signs and the gems that you'll be mining eventually. For one, the extremely rare Ruby represents the sign of the Merchant, with traits like intelligence and ambition. The rare Onyx represents the sign of the Watcher, with trades like destiny, greatness, and sometimes, cursed. We can expect more development on this front and more announcements to come.
Also on the way sometime in the next few weeks are several improvements for housing. housing add-ons will double in a future update. Instead of having 15 total housing add-ons, you will be able to have 30 nd you'll also be able to add as many main houses as you can fit on the plot you have. You can actually start designating a cluster to be a guest house or maybe you want to create dedicated spaces for other activities. With this change, it only makes sense that the decor limit is also going up to 3,000 pieces.
The team is teasing a brand new creature that will come to Bahari Bay sometime in the next two or three updates. There's a brief look at a gif of the creature and let the guessing begin on just what it might be.
A new villager is also coming. Singularity 6 plans to add new NPCs regularly to add content, more diversity to the cast of characters you can interact with, and more to do. the new NPC is teased with this description: “Our next upcoming villager, a Watcher from the Order, will be summoned to Kilima to investigate why the humans have emerged, kicking off a whole new story in the world of Palia.”
The team leaves off with a number of things we can expect within the next 3 months or so. These include facial hair, The ability to change your character's looks, more found item quests, a new temple, and winter decor.
