Paladins Strike Image Sees Hi-Rez Caught with Its Hand in Blizzard's Art Book

Hi-Rez Studios is on the hot seat today after savvy Reddit users took a close look at Paladins Strike, the company's mobile shooter. It appears that the image used for advertising is none other than the Lijiang Tower background image from Blizzard's Overwatch. Hi-Rez fessed up by saying, "Thank you for your diligence in pointing this out. This art was created by an overseas partner studio for Paladins Strike and had not much in the way of oversight..by..Hi-Rez".

Here is the full statement from Reddit:

First thing, thank you for your diligence in pointing this out. This art was created by a overseas partner studio for paladins strike and had not much in the way of oversight in its content creation by anyone internally at Hi-Rez. We will be looking into this immediately.

Moving forward we are well underway in a bit of a shift in how I plan to see our splash art executed to make things feel a little more unique to paladins that should hopefully allow us to control content creation better with a larger quality of output to boot, stay tuned.

You can see it in the comparison video below that was posted to this Reddit thread:
