There are several mechanics and features coming with this very limited-time event in Overwatch 2, such as changes to the capture speed and payloads, as well as respawn times. Respawns specifically will be reduced by 75%, getting players back into the chaos quicker than ever.

Payloads in the Escort and Hybrid maps are going to be moving 60% faster than regular matches, so it will be a major task to keep up with the pace while being blasted into oblivion by the opposition. Capturing said points will also be 40% faster than usual, meaning any unnecessary deaths will have a huge impact on which way the tides turn in battle.
All of these changes and features will only be available to players that utilize Role Queue or Open Queue Quick Play modes during the duration of the event, which will begin on January 12, 2024 and ends on January 14, 2024. Those who prefer the Arcade will not see any changes within that game mode, as it has not been modified for this specific Quick Play: Hacked event.
