Nine Dot Studios is ready to show off Outward, its current RPG in development. Outward isn't, however, a run-of-the-mill RPG as it combines survival with fantasy alongside features like constant auto-saving to ensure that actions have repercussions, no level-scaling and how the environment impacts, for instance, armor use.
We are not the children of gods. We are not heroes delivered by fate. We are simply the people who chose to break the constraints of mundanity, to explore the lands ahead and the caverns below, to rise above fear and venture outward.
Outward will also feature two-player cooperative play, both online or on split-screen.
Outward will be released for PC and console, though no date is yet known.
To get players excited about the game, Nine Dot Studios has released its PAX trailer ahead of the annual convention. Developers will be on hand during PAX as well.
