Out of Reach - Robust Development & a Vibrant Community

Space Boat Studios has released a new trailer for its indie-developed open world survival MMO called Out of Reach. The game has been in early access on Steam (14.99 Euro) for the past year and has undergone a whopping thirty updates, scored "mostly positive" ratings in over a thousand reviews and developers have worked to make the community part of the process by listening to and implementing feeedback.

OUT OF REACH’S MAIN FEATURES

  • Travel across an archipelago full of mountains, caves, and forests.
    • Do it running, swimming, or sailing in interactive steamer-like boats. Stay alone or cooperate with dozens of other players. Fly around and attack your opponent’s bases from gliders.
  • Collect lots of resources with tools and weapons.
    • Craft necessary stuff using workshops that feature furnaces and anvils. Build shelters or strongholds with over 60 building components.
  • Claim ownership of buildings.
    • Become the owner by putting a Builder’s Desk inside. Assign your buddies “Guest” or “Builder” roles. Protect your stronghold against unwanted visitors.
  • Earn passive and active skill achievements and improve your stats.
  • Form clans, share bases, and maintain a reputation that tells other players whether you’re a friend or a foe. Upgrade armor and buildings, and invade or defend structures using siege weapons such as trebuchets, ballistae, boulder throwers, and traps.
  • Join one of the many private or official servers that are currently prepared for the Steam Early Access version of the game.

To show off some of what's gone on for the last year of EA, Space Boat has produced a new video. Check it out and then head to the Out of Reach Steam page to learn more.
