Unveiled earlier this year, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap unveiled a January release date through a trailer at the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted.
The newest game continues the popular series’ legacy as one of the most popular ongoing tower defense franchises. As always, players take on the role of a War Mage, with Orcs Mst Die! Deathtrap featuring six different War Mages with different personalities, traps, and abilities for varying playstyles.
As it features multiplayer compatibilities, Deathtrap encourages players to synergize their toolkits in order to get through the waves.
Deathtrap also features some roguelite touches; as each waves progresses, players can tap into new, unique enhancements, and enemies are given randomized buffs and debuffs as they grow more difficult. Plus, the game works in weather and time of day as factors for pushing back the orcs.
The trailer featured during the PC Gaming Most Wanted Show teases an overview of the gameplay, showing off the action and traps that players can give a whirl.
Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap is coming pretty soon, releasing January 28th, 2025 on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox Series X|S.
