Fans of virtual reality who've been looking for an MMO to "live" in may want to check out Orbus VR. On December 15th, the game will enter Steam Early Access with fans able to opt in to the development process for $40. After a successful closed beta test, developers at Ad Alternum Game Studios went back and upgraded the artwork that now features cel-shaded interactive elements and hand-painted environment textures.
The game now enters Early Access, which means that it is ready for a wider audience. Character progress will no longer be reset (or “wiped”) going forward, and the game is filled with 60+ hours of content for players to enjoy on their journey to go from Level 1 to 20. Dozens of main story quests, several five-player dungeons, world bosses, fishing, alchemy, and dragon pets are all features that are ready for players to interact with in virtual reality.
The game is "buy once, play forever" without a subscription. Cosmetic items including pets, hairstyles and more will be offered to players, though there is "no gameplay-affecting pay to win content for sale, and the game does not utilize loot boxes."
