Myth of Empires is headed for a relaunch in February. The sandbox war game will relaunch on Steam, followed by a console release.
Developer Angela Game and publisher Imperium Interactive Entertainment released a trailer with some of what we can expect when the survival sandbox war game relaunches. Initially released into Early Access, then pulled from Steam over a legal battle with Snail Games over assets, the companies came to an agreement and said the game would return in a better form. It seems they’re now on track.
In a press release on the upcoming release, Meng Liang, Angela Game Producer, says that “The road to Myth of Empires' Version 1.0 release has been a long and exciting one. Myth of Empires will be bigger, better, and more immersive than ever, and this trailer gives players their first look at all of the cool stuff we've been working on. We can't wait for them to jump into the game and see it all for themselves this February”.
The multiplayer online survival sandbox is set in a world affected by war. Build fortresses, create communities and even cities, grow crops, ride and race horses, and grow your holdings. Potentially even choose to dominate and create your own empire. Lead armies, siege other cities, take over and on the other side, you can protect and fight back. Maybe you'll create a strong community that can face off against those who would come and try to take it.
Among the features coming in the relaunch include new ways to travel around the world, including gliders and climbing tools, adding verticality to combat or even just exploration. there will be new defensive structures, a brand new map that features tough terrain like volcanoes, seas, and new boss content. Simulated sieges and challenges also let PVE players have a taste of the large-scale battles and serve as practice for the PvP minded.
There will be official servers, hosted and solo modes as well as private servers. A suite of modding tools are also planned.
