EverQuest II’s open beta for its next game update, The Immeasurable Menagerie, is now live. Miragul is not exactly himself in the next story update, and there are some secrets to discover.
If you want to help the team test out the beta, you'll need to have the latest expansion, Ballads of Zimara. If you do, you can install the beta build, copy your existing live game character if you want, and jump in. Since this is an open beta, and the feedback is already rolling in, it's subject to changes and wipes and other adjustments. The open Beta is currently set to run until August 27th, and the team is already collecting feedback to improve upon the update before it officially launches.
As for those mysteries you’ll get to investigate, you can head over to Sanctuary within Splendor Sky Aerie to get started. Miragul is not just acting strangely, he's working on something that he's really trying to keep under wraps. He has a reputation as a very skilled and capable mage, in particular a specialization that lets him travel between planes and time.
However, something doesn't quite add up this time, and he has even abandoned his laboratory. As you investigate, you'll uncover plans for a mysterious arena, the role that traveling through time and planes has in this secretive plan, and more as yet to be revealed.
