Once Human is getting a new playtest this month, this time focused on in-app purchases. Not only can you test out the game’s monetization system, but your progress won’t be wiped.
The new test is PC-only, it will begin June 25th at 5pm Pacific and run through July 9th. With the game set to launch on July 9th, NetEase is putting some final touches on everything before Once Human’s full release. With these final bits of testing ahead, the dates make sense, and there is an extra incentive to help them test out the system when it also serves as an effective head start on PC for those selected.
The test is focused on in-app purchases, and there will be only PVE servers this time, but if you’re a PC gamer who wants to see what Once Human is all about and test out the monetization, here’s your chance. The test is covered by NDA, so it’s not going to be open, but with the launch following the end of the playtest, whatever input do give the devs is likely to impact that first impression.
You'll be able to bind the account.

There are few details other than the focus being on in-app purchases, or how it will be handled. The team has a form to fill out for consideration, and says there that “Test activation key and package download links will be sent via email you provide” if you’re invited. If you participate in this playtest, you'll be able to link your Steam account if you want to save this progress on Steam at launch. This way you can keep that early progress no matter how you plan to play on PC.
