Once Human announced on its Twitter that it’s reached 10 million downloads globally, with a thank-you box for all players.
Starry Studio also used this as an opportunity to boast its free-to-play approach, with purchases mostly going towards cosmetics. (And yes, purchases will soon work account-wide, within your purchase region.)
“We are confident that we can provide a rich experience while staying true to our NO PAY-TO-WIN approach,” the post on X/Twitter reads. “We will continue to collaborate closely with Metas to create an even better Once Human in the future.”
As a reward for the milestone, all players will receive a pack with a few small gifts: two Butterfly’s Emissary Crates, two crates with 1,000 Starchrom, and 100 Stardust Source. Players can grab it by checking the event page from August 18 until September 16.
Once Human has maintained a high spot on the Steam charts for several weeks now, with it remaining on the “Top Sellers” chart for the past five weeks—basically since launch. It’s been rising and sinking in and out of the notorious top ten, too, in the meantime. Realistically, it’s an accomplishment for any game to maintain a sizable playerbase for more than a few weeks, let alone compete with Steam’s top games such as Rainbow Six Siege and Stardew Valley.
We sincerely appreciate all the support from Metas, which has enabled us to reach the top of the Chart on Steam and achieve 10 million downloads globally! We are confident that we can provide a rich experience while staying true to our NO PAY-TO-WIN approach. We will continue to… pic.twitter.com/MPjZgPL9n4
