A Kingdom Divided is heading to Old School RuneScape next month in June bringing with it the next chapter in the Kourend storyline.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Kourend story, the kingdom is comprised of five cities who all work towards peace. However, something foul is afoot and has divided this kingdom. Your role will be to unravel just what is going on, and perhaps right the ship.

In addition to continuing the storyline, two new competitions will be introduced. The first of these competitions is a Login Screen Design challenge. This seems exactly as it sounds. The team is looking for your talents in designing a login screen using the lore and background of Kourend as the theme. Should you win, your login screen will be the one everyone sees. Other prizes include:

  • 1st Place - £200 Amazon voucher and 12 months of membership
  • 2nd Place - £100 Amazon voucher and 6 months of membership
  • 3rd & 4th Place - £50 Amazon voucher and 3 months of membership

The competition is open now and runs through May 24. Finalist will be selected by the Old School RuneScape team. Be sure to check out this post for details on your submission. The second chapter is called The Story So Far.

This competition is open in terms of format: documentary, parody, etc. You’re tasked with creating a video summarizing events leading up to A Kingdom Divided before it hits Old School RuneScape. Submissions open on May 19 and close out on June 4. Like with the previous competition, click the link above for full details.

Rewards for this competition include:

  • 1st Place - £200 Amazon voucher and 12 months of membership
  • 2nd Place - £100 Amazon voucher and 6 months of membership
  • 3rd & 4th Place - £50 Amazon voucher and 3 months of membership

RuneScape experienced some account recovery mishaps earlier this month. You can read about them here. And it looks like Divination is set to be more interesting.
