In a recent update, the Old School Runescape team communicated that the equipment rebalance has been postponed.
The team cites the need for further analysis and further iteration before moving ahead with the rebalance. They note that they believe changes to balance are needed for the game. Extra time will allow them to conduct these extra analysis and provide a more thorough rebalancing implementation.
They write,
“Postponing the changes puts us in a better position to focus on more individual items, align the proposal against new content and to introduce you to some of the items that are coming.”
The team still plans on making these changes before releasing combat achievements, noting that it would be a mistake to release combat achievements before proper rebalancing could be implemented. There is no date yet for the equipment rebalancing.
