The Old School RuneScape Group Ironman mode got some improvements in today's update, along with the result of Ultimate Ironman death pile feedback, a website change, and more.
The center of the update is a series of improvements and changes to Group Ironman . You'll be able to teleport directly to your teammate’s house by using the Teleport to House spell, which has two new options, Group: choose and Group: previous. The first one lets you choose which group to teleport to and the second brings you to the last house you visited. There are requirements for this to work including that the owner is on the same world as you and is not in Build mode. All players can enter player owned houses that are unlocked and do not have private setting enabled. This will work only if you are friends with the owner.
Group Ironman also gets a storage expansion option that is accessible by completing certain tasks. The group storage interface has a new update with a button that lets you click to pull up a list of tasks you can complete that will expand the group storage size. These will be group-wide so they will track. Some of the examples given were to equip a Rune Platebody or to achieve different amounts of point goals.
Changes to death piles in Ultimate Ironman were proposed back in December and now the community has spoken. Feedback on the proposals were positive for the most part, but players had concerns on memory capacity since if there are too many items showing up on a single tile the world will start deleting them to preserve stability. The team confirms in this update that the items will be saved in their own list when deaths happen because player deaths will be on the player save and not the world save.
Another change you might notice is a direct link to RuneLite on the homepage. This reflects the partnership that Jagex was able to come to with the RuneLite development team several months ago and is also an attempt to keep access secure so that you know you're going to the official mod site.
