Old School RuneScape has its very first maxed Group Ironman team, hitting the mark just days before the mode hit its second anniversary.
Tomorrow marks the anniversary of the release of Group Iron Man in Old School RuneScape. All five players on the team have notched level 2,227 and they have maxed every skill to level 99. Group Ironman was a requested feature when it debuted on October 6, 2021. The OSRS team had wanted to bring the feature to life for a few years, but they needed to set the stage by introducing Clans and other features in the foundation and on the back end before they could bring it live for everyone.
User iDrunkRS shared the achievement to Reddit, along with a screenshot of all five of those who had spent the past two years completing this lofty goal. Other commenters congratulated them, some made some appropriate jokes, and others reflected on just what an accomplishment it was.
A poster called rsbentley said, “More impressed you have a gim 5 man team that hasn’t fallen apart”, and some chimed in to agree, noting that their own teams had dissolved or burned out. When you consider how much work it took to spend two years maxing everything and achieving this together, talk of burnout is understandable. Still, on the flip side, some were even surprised that this hadn’t been done yet.
They came, they saw, they did a ton of grinding, they survived, and they conquered. With capes to show for it.
