Nvidia’s next-gen 7nm GPUs meant for data centers may be delayed.
In a report from Chris Caso, analyst at American investment bank Raymond James Financial (via SeekingAlpha) says that Nvidia is looking to launch 7nm GPUs in the next six months or so. However, this is supposedly delayed.
For context, Nvidia’s current Turing architecture is 12nm, with AMD having the only 7nm GPU at present in Navi and RDNA. According to Caso, 7nm is still coming, but won’t be here till Q1 or Q2 of next year.
Nvidia will report earnings on November 14, so we’ll have to wait and see if they address 7nm during that time.
Ta, PC GamesN.
