Two weeks after its launch into early access, ARPG No Rest for the Wicked is dropping its first update, focusing on improving the quality of the still-in-development game.
Per Moon Studios’ Steam announcement, the patch is jam-packed with mostly performance fixes, as expected from an early access game. There are a lot of optimization fixes, including for the opening cinematics, combat and visual effects, and general rendering, as well as a solid list of bug fixes throughout the game.
However, it also seems they’re keeping an eye on player feedback for quality of life fixes. In regards to player experience, there’s now finally custom key rebinding options for keyboard players, new item sorting, faster player housing access, more slots in chests and cupboards, and a fix to the Cinematic Skip prompt. Plus, there are a ton of nerfs and boosts.
A few new things have been slipped in as well: a new house called “The Knot,” and a Tier 3 armor set called “False Ones.”
It’s an optimistic start for the game, which was one of the most anticipated ARPGs this year—which is saying a lot, given the prior launch of Last Epoch and the now-delayed beta later this year for Path of Exile 2.
