No Rest For the Wicked has launched into early access on Steam, and since money doesn’t grow on trees, it’s a good thing it’s on sale for a limited time, too.
The action RPG is now available for play, and for those who want a little more bang for their buck, there are a few extras for anyone who snags the game while it's in the early access state. The Cerim Armor bundle will be given to anyone who grabs the game before the full launch, and since it just hit early access today, you will most likely have a while to get it for yourself.
Moon Studios had released a launch trailer and live-stream preview prior to the release, and it showcases some brutal and intense fighting mechanics for players to enjoy. For those who are looking for even more of a deal on the game, there are several streamers that have affiliate codes for No Rest for the Wicked, and by purchasing through those links, fans will spend $31.99 rather than $35.99 via Steam, and the streamers get a bit of compensation as well.
In terms of microtransactions, Moon Studios stated,
“We’d also like to confirm that No Rest for the Wicked will not have any microtransactions. And, the game’s single player experience will not require an online connection nor contain any anti-cheat software. We’re dedicated to providing you all with a complete, seamless experience!”
That means there will be no pay-to-win, from the wording at least, and that everything within the game must be earned, not purchased. We really enjoyed our hands-on time with the ARPG from the Ori and the Blind Forest studio, with our writer Jason Fanelli saying that No Rest for the Wicked heralds Moon Studios' shift from "cute to brute."
