No Man's Sky Update 2.4 Lets You Pilot a Mech

You can pilot an Exo Mech in No Man’s Sky in update 2.4.

The mech (dubbed the Minotaur) is set to feature “advanced jump capabilities” allowing you to cross terrain much easier. The Minotaur is fortunately immune to all hazards on a planet, and can actually collect any materials while you’re piloting it. You can also mine with it.

A new cockpit view is featured in the first person perspective, and should be especially immersive in VR,

“Power your way through storms in the unique and compact interior of your new Minotaur mechanical walker. Steer, stride and leap from the atmospheric perspective of a mech pilot, and examine extra planetary data readouts in full 360° in VR.”
