No Man’s Sky is set to receive cross play tomorrow, June 11, among a host of other features and improvements.
The game was set to arrive on Xbox Game Pass, but the team posted an update announcing cross play hitting tomorrow, coinciding with the Game Pass release. The team notes that they are currently testing a Windows 10 version which will be part of Games Pass on PC.
But the big ticket item is cross play,
“We are excited to be able to announce that, starting tomorrow, PlayStation 4 players, Xbox One players and PC players will all be able to explore, journey, survive, build, and trade together. Excitingly, No Man’s Sky is joining what is at the moment a fairly small group of games which support cross-platform multiplayer.”
Other features and improvements coming to the game include improvemens to lobbies and groups, speech accessibility options, VR full body, speech to text, the aforementioned Windows 10 Store, and a new networking backend. You can check out the full patch notes here.
