Nightingale’s Realms Rebuilt update is here to offer some new ways, more unique realms, increased building limits and an all-new campaign for the survival crafting game.

This is the team's biggest update yet, and it comes after community feedback asking for more varied and unique Realms, more room and ways to build, and more content. With the game in Early Access, this update is a major step for development. A new trailer shows off the gameplay.

Since Nightingale is a PvE gaslamp- fantasy survival crafting title, the addition of a campaign does make sense as a way to offer guidance. Puck returns in the new campaign, which will take you through the many new handcrafted Storied Realms, which show off the much-requested variety.

Procedurally-generated Realms are still important to the game, and the update is adding to rather than de-emphasizing those. There are new dungeons and boss battles to take on, offering some additional incentives to explore.

Inflexion CEO Aaryn Flynn confirms that this update is the result of feedback in the months that the game has been in Early Access, and sometimes wasn’t even where the dev team wanted things to be yet either. There were some concerns, addressed in a dev update video that pointed to some players not always knowing what to do, so the structure in the update seeks to address that too.

“We hope that it feels like a whole new Nightingale journey, improved and more immersive, whilst retaining the core elements that the community loves about adventuring through the Realms. There really is no part of the game that isn’t touched by this update,” Flynn said. The update was so huge that they had to wipe all progress, so if you’re set to jump back in, you’ll need to create a new character. The team did give everyone a chance to save their Respite Realm to offline mode, at the cost of no further updates, if they wanted to.

The update increases the building limits and adds a brand new Regency tileset. There's also a brand new progression system with a tech tree that will help guide you to creating your build. Crafting has also gotten some overhauls with improvements. and there are also some new tool abilities, new weapons, new spells, and even new enemies. There are even new pets, including "cats in jaunty bonnets".

Nightingale’s Realms Rebuilt update arrives alongside a special sale on Steam, where the game is now 40% off.
