Inflexion Games has shared a new roadmap update on development priorities for Nightingale. With the survival title still in Early Access and in active development, the lists give us a bit of insight into what we can expect in the shorter term.
On the list of development priorities that are “incoming” include previously announced features like an offline mode, the ability to build from storage, and to skip the tutorial. On a list of “coming soon” items, there are things like additional tool abilities, improved enemy ai, clothing dies, and new tile sets. Both of these lists represent priorities that the team labels as their “focus over the next few months”, so that offline mode is getting close for those who’ve been waiting for the option.
These are the shorter-term goals that we can expect, and other items on the list also include new content like more quests and NPCs, “further NPC functionality”, and an NPC behavior radial menu. We can also expect new gear pieces, and tiered creatures.
In addition to these shorter term improvements that are on the way sooner than later, the Nightingale team also shared another list of items that are coming further down the line. Among those items include new biomes, new Major and Minor cards, an increase to the build structure cap, new weapons, new enemies, and even the introduction of triangular build pieces.
The survival RPG is growing and changing, and the team also capped off the update with a request for continued feedback on all of this. Given how feedback pushed some items like offline mode high on the priority list, Inflexion is clearly paying attention.
