Inflexion Games has presented a brand new trailer at Gamescom for Nightingale to announce the Early Access date. The upcoming shared-world survival crafting title will enter early access on February 22, 2024, slightly later than originally estimated.

In the latest trailer, the team showed off a number of the mechanics, the setting of the Fae Realms, and the dangers you’ll get to face as a Realmwalker. Realmwalkers are those that travel through mysterious arcane portals and wind up in the Fae Realms and must figure out how to shape the world they’re in.

The trailer revealed some of the world, hints at narrative structure, and showed off the Sun Giant, one of the large creatures in the wild of the realm. You’ll get to explore and experience the world and its biomes, features, and potential to make something new. If you come upon a Sun Giant, you might be able to get close to get a closer look, or to get blasted with Fae energy if you aren’t careful.

The Victorian gaslamp-inspired world of Nightingale is procedurally-generated, meaning that your world is your world. You'll be able to create your own means of survival, make discoveries, collect resources, and also experience the worldbuilding and narrative elements that the Inflexion Games team is building into the experience.

If you are interested in Early Access, Nightingale will be available on PC vs Steam and the Epic Games Store for $29.99. The team will continue working with feedback to craft additional features, to polish things up, and in their announcement, place emphasis on player feedback.  in a press release announcing the launch date for early access, CEO Aaryn Flynn makes this clear, while also acknowledging the slightly later entry.

“After years of dedicated work from the team, we are thrilled to announce that Nightingale will enter Early Access on February 22nd, 2024. That date is a few months later than we previously announced. But as a studio, we’re committed to quality, and we take player satisfaction very seriously. We want to ensure that the game delivers on the expectations of our community, who have played a vital role in the development to date.”

With the upcoming release of Early Access this is designed to help the team shape the game into its final release. Through feedback and data, this will also give the team the ability to explore some of their ideas with a larger live community.
