If you’ve been curious about where Nightingale is now in its Early Access progress, Inflexion is giving a limited-time chance to check it out. Nightingale now has a free demo available for download on its Steam page in the midst of a 40% off sale so you can give the gaslamp fantasy survival action game a try.

The Nightingale demo only goes up to Sylvan’s Cradle, which is an early-sort-of-mid-game “map” that you need to traverse in order to progress through the game’s main story. However, should you opt to purchase the full game—which is 40% off at the time of writing—all of your progress will be transferred over into the full edition of the game.

It’s also not a bad time to get into Nightingale in general, as the game has ramped up its content and quality of life additions. Most recent is the Nightingale City update, which finally brought the major anticipated namesake city into the game, bringing more of a fully-fledged end-of-game experience.

Back in January, there was also an engine update to Unreal Engine 5.4, which the team says will help with performance and also their own update process.

We don’t know how long the Nightingale demo on Steam will last at the moment, as there’s no final date on it, but it should hopefully at least last until the sale ends on March 31.
