Nightingale gets its first dev update since Early Access opened, with some details on where things are, where they’re going, the recent roadmap update, and more to look out for.

Inflexion CEO Aaryn Flynn appears in the new video to give an update on what the team is working on. Flynn recently shared Nightingale’s roadmap for the short and medium term and beyond, and he reiterates and expands upon that here. Top priority for the team is work to fix the network disconnect issues. After that, there are some quality of life updates and things they weren’t able to get in for the launch to add in. Fixes for the network disconnects are here.

The team addresses issues that happened over last weekend where players were reporting that their Respite Realms were gone. The Nightingale team had to roll things back a little in order to restore Estates and they released an emergency update to fix the issue. As of now, they haven't had any more Respite Realms reported missing, and they are continuing to work to make sure it doesn't happen again. If they can restore any lost progress, they’ll do that too.

There have been some highlights and things added over the past couple of weeks, like the new Oceania server and the South America server that give players options. They also address more in-game communication updates, and additional localization updates and working to remove an an exploit.

Clearly, it's an Early Access game, so we have to be prepared for changes and sometimes potential issues. The team did delay that launch several times in order to release a more polished game, which they generally did. Now, they’ve been working on these matters promptly, and are thanking the community for their patience and their feedback.

There is still work to be done, and  after those short-term goals of bug fixes, investigating crashes, and those Network disconnect issues are addressed, they will be adding AI improvements, new weapons, and the promise offline mode.
