Nearly 18 months after the release of Pokemon Go to most of the world, Niantic has announced a partnership agreement with NetEase to bring the augmented reality game to China. Prior to today's announcement, Pokemon Go was banned in China "due to concerns around national security and public safety". Niantic has been working since them to tweak the game and add warning messages to it to prevent accidents and provide more personal security to players.
According to the BBC, Pokemon Go is expected to launch in China later in 2018.
