Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds has a new update, Legendary Ancient Genie, which brings the titular genie to encounter and battle, new items, including familiars and a mount, a new boss for the Kingdom Dungeon, Flaming Knight, and a series of rewards.

The new episode, Legendary Ancient Genie is available now and will remain available through August 3rd. You'll be able to fight against the genie for titles and rewards and you can do so in either the one-player dungeon or the five-player dungeon. If you take on the one-player dungeon you can play challenge mode and the 5 player dungeon lets you take on hard mode if you get a group together. In order to enter the dungeon and get rewards, you will need an Ancient Genie Dungeon ticket.

If you don't have a ticket, you can still take on the challenge but you won't get any rewards. You can get tickets by finding Dusk Syndicates throughout the world and obtaining tokens by defeating them. You can use those to buy tickets for the dungeon.

This update also adds a brand new boss for the Kingdom Dungeon. The new boss, Flaming Knight, is a fire monster, so you will have to counter with your best water-based equipment and skills. If you’re successful, you’ll get rewards like gem chests, Ras cores, or even Magic Tomes for higher tiers.

A new mount has entered the game, the Magic Carpet. Yes, it can fly, but it’s afraid of heights, so it won’t fly too high. There are also two new familiars, the earth-based support Toko, and the fire-based attacker Tarakona. Each of these new familiars gets its own event to help you build them up.

Because this is also a blockchain-based game (which we dove into in depth), there's also an event intended to stabilize that side of the economy. The Launch with NKT Fixed Exchange Rate & Buyback/Burn Event is on through July 11th.
