Godspawn, the first update for Guild Wars 2’s Janthir Wilds expansion, is coming on November 19th. This update not only continues the story, it adds a new legendary weapon, new Convergence, and GW2’s first new raid in five years.
This update will arrive next week for those who purchased the expansion. Expect to work with the Kodan to track down the titans after your encounters with them last time around. Finding them is going to be key to stopping the chaotic threat to Janthir, so your allies will be important.
You have the opportunity to also get your hands on the new legendary Klobjarne spear. This new weapon will help you on your journey to stop the looming chaos. ANet has designed six different possible looks for the blade.
Clashes are on the way, as the Godspawn Convergence and the new raid are coming. The first Convergence happened in Secrets of the Obscure last year, with up to 50 players taking on some high-stakes, large-scale PvE content. This time, you’ll face challenges and objectives to complete in the Convergence, which features a reinterpretation of the titan, Decima.
Not long ago, the team announced that a raid was coming, based on their decision to incorporate the raid into the overall storyline, using the same development resources, and making it feel more consequential. Form a team of up to 10 players to climb Mount Balrior in your quest to face off against the titans.

There will be a series of encounters, so you'll have to prepare and be flexible, use everything you can at your disposal, and possibly your new legendary spear, to make it through and earn yourself some of the update’s best loot and cosmetics.
New decorations and crafting recipes are coming for the homesteads feature. Additional items on the way include the Sea Wave Glass weapon set, the Rot Stalker armor and boots skins as part of new Wizard’s Vault rewards, and more.
Now that the Guild Wars 2 team has announced the update, we can surely expect info on the raid, the narrative content, and more over the next week to get everyone ready to jump back into action.
