The next Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer LIVE stream is coming this month, with Square Enix announcing that it will be held on September 17th at 7pm PDT/10pm EDT. The stream itself will cover battle-related updates, job adjustments and more as it relates to the upcoming expansion, Endwalker.
The Live Letters, a staple in the Final Fantasy XIV community at this point, give the development team the chance to bring updates and more directly to fans and is hosted by the MMO's producer, Naoki Yoshida. The letters themselves typically showcase upcoming changes and major updates for patches and, in this case, the next expansion in the FFXIV series, Endwalker.
The Live letter will take place on the Final Fantasy XIV Twitch and YouTube channels and start on September 17th at 7pm PDT/10pm EDT. According to Square Enix, this letter will be "announcing job adjustments and battle-related updates for Endwalker."
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is the next expansion to come to the hugely popular MMORPG, releasing this fall on November 23rd. The expansion brings two new jobs (FFXIV's version of classes): the healer Sage and the melee DPS Reaper, as well as concludes the major story beats that have been raging since A Realm Reborn and positions the storyline for the MMO into the future.
Final Fantasy XIV has seen a massive spike in popularity this summer thanks to a number of factors, from an incredibly generous (and meme-able) free trial to dissastifaction with World of Warcraft. As a result, log in queues and more have caused issues with players trying to create new characters to start the journey towards Endwalker, and while Yoshida has stated the team is in the process of upgrading the server tech, the current landscape of the world thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic is slowing those efforts. Also, in case you were wondering, Victoria's raids are going alright.
