Nexon will shut down its medieval action brawler Warhaven in April, shutting the game just four months after entering global early access.
The team already suspended sales of the battle pass and there will be updates from Nexon detailing just how the rest of Warhaven’s short life will go over the coming weeks. Servers will go down on April 5th, which the team shared in an announcement on the game’s Steam page.
“Today, we are here to announce with a heavy heart that we will be concluding the live services of Warhaven. From the 1st alpha test in 2021 to the global early access in 2023, Warhaven has come this far, thanks to everyone's love and support. We want to express our gratitude for the love and care you have shown for Warhaven.”
Back in 2022, we featured an interview with game director Eunseok Yi on Warhaven. In 2023, the game was one of our top 10 to watch out for at the summer’s Steam Next Fest.
There’s not much detail on just what happened with Warhaven, which never got to leave early access as planned. The team will announce further schedules for the remainder of live service soon.
Just this month, Warhaven featured a major new announcement with a new map, the Hangar, that added a new 12v12 reclamation mode and new game events. Now, the team is planning the game’s final two months.
