Old School RuneScape is concluding its God Wars Dungeon and a familiar face is returning. Nex: The Fifth General is yours to take on starting today.
Those who have been playing RuneScape for some time might remember Nex’ original release back in 2011. Now she’s back and awake once you figure out how to find her. Hint: a mini quest called The Frozen Door was added last month. The door has been around since the dungeon was launched but it’s been sealed up. Well now we know why it was there, and completing that mini quest will get you where you need to go.
Unlock the door and make your way into the prison, where the fun will really begin. Of course it won’t be easy, given that there will be a whole horde of enemies to fight to get to her, but of course there will be rich spoils for those who make it. Your enemies will be Nex’ most loyal and include Spiritual Warriors, Rangers, Mages, and Blood Reavers. As with prior dungeon chapters, you’ll be able to get Spiritual Essence by taking down enemies, with each giving you different amounts. Once you’ve slain enough to get the essence you need, you’ll be able to get to Nex herself.
This expansion and conclusion to the dungeon lets you battle in groups of up to 80 players. Yet it will be possible to battle her in smaller groups within that limit, with better rewards for those who stand out. It might take a few tries to find your sweet spot between group size and strategy to earn yourself the best loot you’re looking for. Some of the rewards you can get include the Ancient Godsword, the Zaryte Crossbow, and the Torva full armor set.
