Amazon Games has relaunched its Touring Aeternum series as 'Discovering Aeternum,' a 34-episode YouTube video series that aims to get players ready for New World: Aeternum's October launch.

According to Amazon Games, the new video series is the result of community feedback. The company "adjusted and expanded" the old series to help "new players hit the ground running when New World: Aeternum arrives in October."

As a result, that expansion means players will see two episodes released weekly between now and December 11th, taking us well past the relaunch of Amazon's MMO on PC and its first launch on consoles. The new series will apparently roll out in phases: Arrive, Survive, and Thrive.

Right now, the first two episodes are re-releases of the "Touring Aeternum" episodes, Arrive and Azoth, which are available on the game's YouTube channel. Amazon states that the Arrive phase will "ground new players in the strange new world of Aeternum" and will likely cover many of the basics of the world: what Azoth is, the settlements, people, and more.

New episodes will be released weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from now through December 11th. Meanwhile, players can also gear up for the console launch of New World: Aeternum by taking part in an upcoming Console Open Beta, kicking off on September 13th and running through the 16th on Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 consoles. This test will be one of the first ways the MMO will be publicly available to anyone on console ahead of its October release, and it will also feature cross-play with existing PC players, helping Amazon tweak its server tech for the eventual cross-platform launch.
