Last week, New World delayed the launch of the Expedition Group Finder, but assuring the community that the new Barnacles and Black Powder Expedition would come in this week's update, Amazon has announced that they're delaying this feature. The weekly update will still arrive overnight with several fixes and changes.
Biggest change in the update is of course the Expedition being delayed, but the team acknowledges that after delaying the group finder, this is a disappointment.
“ In addition to the downtime notification above, I am sorry to announce that additional testing has uncovered an issue with the Barnacles and Black Powder expedition. The team is working hard to address the issue but this means we will be delayed in activating the feature. We apologise for this inconvenience, especially on the heels of delaying Group Finder, as we endeavor to release the highest quality of experience to you all.”
The update will commence with downtime at 11 p.m. Pacific tonight and without the new expedition will be mostly fixing some issues, as well as improving player experience.
Because of an issue with 3v3 PvP Arenas and modes mistakenly taking more run counts than they should, New World will temporarily raise the daily Expedition limit from 15 to 25. This is being done as a workaround to give everyone a higher cap to avoid the glitch consuming their allotment and will be reversed when they have a fix live.
Other fixes in the update include a change to prevent Tempest’s Heart participants in Normal and Mutated from taking durability damage. In War, now players won't be able to climb over the walls due to adjusted collision around the war camp.
Salvage got some important fixes, and Azoth vials will now be usable in all cases again. An issue that was causing salvaging items at maximum repair parts not to work with hotkeys, salvage consuming too many items, as well as a fix to avoid salvaging too many vials are all addressed here.
