New World Season 4: Eternal Frost, launches tomorrow, and the team has everything you need to know before the update, including update times and details.

Downtime is scheduled for tomorrow at 5 AM PT/ 8 AM ET, for an estimated two hours.  Following this, Aeternum will be full of new challenges to conquer, including the level 65 Glacial Tarn expedition and of course, a new seasonal story.

This time, you’ll have to fight to stop a Knight of the Round Table, Ser Loth, who is dabbling in some dangerous new abilities after studying some forbidden knowledge. You’ll have to work with others to help save Aeternum from an eternal, well, frost. And to defeat the Commander of the Frostbound, an army of mutated Varangians with an icy twist.

Along the way, new and returning characters will play a role. The Silver Crows will be back, and you’ll get an opportunity to recruit a new fire mage to help you out–if you can beat him and show him you’re worth his time. That new mage, Daichi Saito, hails from feudal Japan and possesses a number of skills from his time as a warrior and from his study of fire magic. Yet, his personality is marked by distrust earned from his experiences. Still, he and the Crows will be strong allies to get help from.

A new season, of course comes a new Season Pass and new reward tracks with a number of helpful items, home furnishings, and two new Artifacts to get your hands on. Those ARtifacts are not the only ones new for the season. There are eight to acquire, including the Boltcaster Bow, which stuns and shocks enemies, the Frozen Gauntlet to freeze and finish off enemies, and speed boosting, cooldown reducing Winged Shoes.

The Winter Convergence Festival also returns tomorrow, with better rewards, less repetition, and guaranteed rewards. Coming later in the season will be the Year of the Dragon event.

Eternal Frost launches with Twitch Drops. Earn a new item for every two hours you watch, for 10 hours netting you the full set of Japanese inspired gear skins.

Head to New World for more details.
