New World has officially opened up this year’s Summer Medleyfaire with the latest update. The patch also fixes a number of issues, including previously-reported season 2 data glitches.

Summer Medleyfaire is the festive centerpiece of the new patch, and this year’s event will run through August 15th. Over the next month, you’ll be able to kick back, learn some new music, earn some rewards, and maybe a new title. There are 13 new songs this year to join the ones from the first year’s event.

The original event seasonal quests are back, but if you’ve already completed those last year, you can still earn some new rewards. If you want to play some instruments and perform for others or even if you plan to just kick back and fish for the prize Aeternum Sturgeon, those activities are now available for the summer.

The update fixes a number of issues stemming from recent patches, including the launch of Season 2, Blood of the Sands, earlier this month. While some of the glitches were purely mechanical like players getting stuck in certain quests or Trial boss Hadish Azar being unable to perform his wipe move when players were downed, a major one impacted seasonal progress data.

Certain issues prevented players from accessing season journey and activity cards, and from properly charting their progress in season 2. Some players were also reporting season 2 data loss, and the team worked hard to get hotfixes out to address the issues, but this patch also includes a fix to make sure players can access all of their data properly.

A few helpful fixes and adjustments also make their way into the update, including a change that makes backfill for PvP Arenas more responsive to help reduce queue times for pre-match games.

The team has also added a few new store items, from the Rugged Respite camp skin for max summer relaxed flair, to a new emote bundle.

See the patch notes at New World for more.
