A new community Q&A was released recently from the New World team discussing the evolution of PvP. Here are the details.
The video, below, featured Game Director Scot Lane addressing several PvP-specific details, including:
- Players from alphas wanted more PvE content
- Big focus around increasing density, complexity, and number of POIs
- Making sure world difficulty grows depending where you are
- Making sure PvE and PvP have balance
- Implemented open world opt-in system and faction system to facilitate PvP
- Siege weapons, stages, and more have been added for PvP
- Must be level 10 to engage in PvP now
- You’ll receive bonuses if you flag yourself for open world PvP
