The Rabbit’s Revenge event brings hordes of blood-thirsty mammals to New World, and this year the devs have decided to bring the event back around for even more slaying and rewards.
Starting on June 4th, the cute and cuddly creatures will turn vicious and roam the wilderness of Aeternum until June 18th. During this time, we can hunt down these rabid rabbits in order to score rewards just as we did in 2023.
The rewards are mainly dependent on the number of rabbits killed during the event, such as the Corrupted Rabbit Mask that is guaranteed to drop after defeating 200 corrupted rabbits. The Corruption’s Peak Weapons has a 1% drop chance but is guaranteed after 300 corrupted rabbits have been slain. There is also a chance for every rabbit to drop certain items, such as Diamond Gypsum which has a 66% drop rate, and the Defiled Rabbit’s Foot which has an 80% drop chance and increases luck.
During the event, we will also be able to bag ourselves a new skin, the Corruption’s Barricade Skin that has a 0.5% drop rate from the rabbits themselves, but is guaranteed after defeating 350 corrupted rabbits.
The first time we witnessed the slaying of these rabid creatures was back in 2022, and after some feedback from the community, the event got a few changes in 2023. The changes included the ability to earn rewards based on the number of rabbits slain, not just aimlessly killing thousands of rabbits in hopes of a specific loot drop. This year, that feature of course remains in place, but will there be other changes? We won’t know until it goes live in just a few days, but no changes have been mentioned by the devs at the time of writing.
