New World may be fresh off the release of its first expansion, but it’s October, and Amazon Games is bringing back the spooky season with the return of the Nightveil Hollow event. This year's event features new rewards, an event quest and the return of Baalphazu.
The event returns starting on October 18th and runs through November 14th. Take on the event quest, earn yourself some rewards, and of course, get dressed up in costumes and go trick or treating for candy.
You can get costumes from town centerpieces and as drops from Baalphazu. The ones available during the event are Captain Thorpe, Adiana, Anubian Reaver, and Lost Monarch.
Once you are in your costume, you get to search around each town for hidden treat baskets. if you find a treat basket, you will have a chance to get Baalphazu armor pieces, Nightveil Tokens, and something new introduced for this year’s event - candy. There are four types of candy to discover and they are a limited time consumable, so have fun seeing what drops and what they do. System Designer Joel Clift gives a hint:"Some may help you greatly with event activities while others may have unexpected consequences. I can’t wait to see the stories and interactions that come from these small additions."
Baalphazu is back with his minions, the Pumpkinites, and he’s ready to face all challengers as a level 66 world boss. Help out Salvatore the Mad in getting rid of the Pumpkinites and their leader for rewards and even more reward possibilities. You can take on this event as many times as you want up until it resets at 5:00 a.m. but there are some limits on a few rewards. New armor pieces, you can get up to five per day and costumes you can get up to three per day. He will also drop ichor.
Complete the quest for the Nightveil Hallow cache, with
- 5 Nightveil Tokens
- 2 Random Nightveil Hallow weapon patterns
- Access to the Nightveil Sentinel section of the Event Shop
Once you have that, you'll open the event shop and you can give ichor to Salvatore, who will give you a Nightveil Cauldron Cache. This cache includes multiple tokens, a random Night Vale Hollow weapon pattern, coin bag, and more.
Use your tokens at the event shop to get new and returning rewards. the rewards include a new emote, weapon patterns, gear skins, a Basket of Treats housing item, and several furniture items. If your home was missing that spooky touch, now's your chance.
