Now that Amazon Game Studios’ major announcement of New World: Aeternum, it looks like the team has a new video series up their sleeves. With the next phase of the game making it to console with new content some new focuses, the Touring Aeternum series is here.
The new series looks to serve as an introduction to Aeternum for those who haven’t quite stepped foot in the world yet (or really, washed up on its shores). This first Short episode begins with just that event, and introduces Grace O'Malley who gives the beginners tour and a few pointers. This comes ahead of a console beta set for July.
Grace’s introduction is a brief one, but this is just the beginning. Since you will be washing up on the shores and starting your adventure, if you came for gold and dreams of treasure, she notes that's true, although there are going to be some very unfriendly creatures in the world. That part is also true, and the video gives us some glimpses of some of the dangers and some of the prettier scenery around.

This is labeled as episode 1, and it is clear that the new video series isn’t aimed at the New World veterans who have already made their marks in Aeternum, but more to those who might be considering buying the game on any of the available platforms and starting fresh. With the pivot to New World: Aeternum, the platform expansion, and the changes to the game, things might ultimately wind up with a more stable regular population.
Release is scheduled for October 15th, and this is certainly not the only new effort we’ll see as we get closer to the planned launch.
