New World: Aeternum may be in a bit of a transition phase ahead of its big fall revamp, but some things do remain the same. Summer Medleyfaire is back this week, with a slate of seasonal activities, rewards, and even some new additions.
It’s in the title, but if you’re new or need a refresh, this event is very musical. Summer Medleyfaire 2024 begins on wednesday, June 26th and runs through July 23rd. Around Aeternum, you’ll find Summer Villages popping up in areas like Brightwood, Weaver’s Fen, Everfall, and Monarch’s Bluff. Start with the Maestro to get the event questline that will take you around Aeternum to do things like catch the rare Aeternum Sturgeon, play some music, and add some new and returning items to your collection.
As you complete parts of the event questline, you'll also unlock pages and instruments, and you can always craft better instruments later. You'll find hidden song pages that you can salvage in order to unlock some or all of the 57 available songs. You can perform solo or you can group up with up to five friends for a boisterous musical performance, where if people like what they hear, you can also earn yourself some buffs or even some tips. If you really want to put on a show, use the dance emote on the stage at any of the summer villages to earn 250 event reputation once every day.

If you haven’t unlocked the Guitar Hero title yet, you can earn that by purchasing the song “YAAHH” and performing a four-star playthrough. If you've already unlocked it, you can still play the song for rewards that include premium event tokens, regular event tokens, reputation, and patterns from the previous year.
