New World: Aeternum has just introduced a hungry-hungry new mount that is sure to stand out in your adventures across Aeternum: the Hippo Burley. This isn't just any hippo, though, and New World's latest article outlines its latest creation that blends New World's rugged aesthetic with a touch of absurdity.
The development team couldn’t resist having a bit of fun with their latest mount Burley. Although hippos don’t actually exist in Aeternum (yet), the concept of a hippo found its way into the game in a rather inventive way. Instead of a standard hippo, what you'll find is a giant bear decked out in a hippo costume. This will certainly appease players looking for the cuddly nature of a death bear happily disguised as a colorful costumed hippo.
The team stated in the latest design article that they wanted to be as entertaining as possible, embracing the ridiculousness of the idea to set a comedic tone. The team finally settled on a baggy, stitched-together costume made of stuffed cloth that intentionally fits a little strangely.
New World: Aeternum isn't just revamping bears with their latest mount. The game has recently gone into a complete overhaul for players with plenty of changes for returning players who haven't checked the game out in a while. The game has also been introduced to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so if you haven't had a change to hippover and give this game a try, it's a beary good time give it a try.
